About DCC
Building drones, skills, and slightly questionable flying machines.
We are the Drone Construction Club at SDU Sønderborg — a student community for anyone interested in drones, engineering, technology, teamwork, and building things that fly.
Who we are
Our club brings together students from different study backgrounds who share one thing in common: curiosity. Some members are into electronics, some into aerodynamics, some into coding, and some simply want to try something new.
We build and test drones from scratch, host lectures about aerodynamics, electronics, and control systems, and organise workshops where we get hands-on and learn by doing.
Sometimes that means soldering motors and programming flight controllers. Other times it means grabbing cardboard and designing eco-friendly gliders with other student organisations.
Our current mission
Right now, our big goal is the IMECH UAS Challenge 2026 — an international student drone competition where we will put our knowledge, skills, and teamwork to the test.
Build
We design, manufacture, assemble, and improve drone systems through practical hands-on work.
Learn
We explore aerodynamics, electronics, software, control systems, testing, and project management.
Compete
We prepare for student engineering competitions where performance, teamwork, and reliability matter.
In action
From workshops to testing days
A look at the people, projects, prototypes, and hands-on work behind the Drone Construction Club.
